AI4TRUST: The Third in-person Consortium Meeting

The AI4TRUST initiative is committed to countering misinformation and disinformation within the European Union. Its primary goal is to create a trust-based environment through the integration of automated monitoring of social and news media with advanced AI technologies, supporting human fact-checkers and journalists.

Partners from diverse countries, including Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, have convened in Paris, France, for a two-day meeting scheduled on February 8th and 9th.

During this intensive face-to-face meeting, partners are focusing on sharing collective knowledge, discussing recent objectives, and formulating a plan of action for the upcoming months. The agenda encompasses maintaining commitment and dialogue among partners, presenting and evaluating recent activities, overseeing project coordination and management, and reviewing deliverable progress.

The Paris meeting involved informative presentations, engaging discussions, proactive workshops, and roundtable sessions aimed at aligning needs, addressing plans, and meeting partner requirements. Such events enhance teamwork and collaboration for AI4TRUST, involving researchers, media practitioners, and policymakers. The overarching aim is to establish a credible online environment by facilitating the creation and dissemination of reliable information, countering narratives, and identifying and combating misinformation and disinformation.
